Saturday 10th July 7.30pm £10 (£8) SN

In this exciting 20th anniversary year, Brighton Chamber Choir follows its highly acclaimed performance of the Bach B Minor Mass with a summer concert of birthday treats. The programme includes Schumann’s uplifting Requiem für Mignon, in honour of the composer’s 200th birthday, and pieces by Samuel Barber, who celebrates his 100th year, including the stunning Agnus Dei . Guy Richardson, the choir’s founder, has composed There be none of beauty’s daughters especially for the occasion, and what better way to complete the programme than with John Rutter’s beautiful arrangement of Hoagy Carmichael’s Skylark and his sparkling Birthday Madrigals . Guest soloists include Nicole Ginart (flute) and Gemma Boyd (double bass). Jane Money conducts.
