Jazz is finding a new audience – largely due
to a wave of talented young musicians with
a less reverent, but equally passionate,
approach to the genre. Jack Kendon is one
such player. This 24 year old has a mastery
of the trumpet and flugelhorn that belies his
youth. A Jazz Performance and Theory graduate of Middlesex University Jack
has already played with some top jazz professionals in such illustrious venues
as the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Dover Street Jazz Club and the Pigalle Club.
Tonight’s quintet have a loyal following of young jazz aficionados: for
those wanting to dip their toes into some pretty cool jazz this is a ‘not to
be missed’ gig.
